What Exactly Is Personal Development Coaching?
I have the philosophy that we are all fully human. We don’t stop being a spouse, parent, friend or neighbor when we go to work, and we don’t stop being a healthcare worker, product manager or systems engineer when we go home. Balancing these roles can be challenging. A personal development coach can help you discover ways to make it all work, so you’re fully present, both at work and at home.
What Qualifies You To Offer This Kind Of Help?
In 2016 I began my training to become a coach, completing my studies the following year. In 2018, I obtained my designation as Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In 2021, I received the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation. This involved 500 hours of coaching more than 70 clients, 129 hours of coach-specific training, 20 hours with a mentor coach and other continuing education credits.
In 2019, I was accepted at BetterUp, where I serve as a Fellow Coach, a Communication Specialist Coach and a Navigating Uncertainty Coach.
What Are Sessions Like?
Sessions are via Zoom and are scheduled for 30 minutes, but can sometimes be up to 40 minutes in length. The emphasis is on you. You decide on what you want to work on, the desired outcome of the sessions and overall, and I help you get there

What Kind Of Results Can I Expect?
The people I work with are highly motivated for change. I have helped clients get a handle on work-life balance, creating boundaries between work and home and becoming more productive at work. Most have been successful in obtaining it. I did not promise such results to them, nor can I to you. I am here to ask questions, challenge your thinking and support you in a safe and confidential space. Ultimately, you are responsible for creating your own decisions and results.
What If I Need Help With More Personal Areas Like Stress Reduction Or Managing Burnout?
Then, I can help! I personally experienced burnout throughout most of 2018. It drains you physically and emotionally and takes a long time to recover from. It is far easier and more beneficial to stop burnout before it happens. I now recognize the signs, and can help you assess whether you’re at the brink.
If you’re already there, you’ll need the help of qualified medical professionals like your doctor, counsellor, etc. I am not a qualified medical professional and cannot offer diagnosis or treatment.
